Why Face Restoration?

FEATURES, ADVANTAGES, & BENEFITS FOR OUR PATIENTS

At Face Restoration, we understand the discomfort and embarrassment caused by lacrimal sac swelling and aim to treat you as soon as possible. We offer a wide range of treatments, from prescription eye care to eyelid surgeries, to alleviate your symptoms and increase prognosis. Our award-winning ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeons will safely take care of everything from consultation and diagnosis to treatment and post-op care

When treating any tear duct dysfunction, it is important to get a clear picture so that we can manage your treatment as effectively as possible. At Face Restoration, we have diagnostic imaging facilities available so that you can get an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

A computed tomography (CT) scan or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan is helpful in locating inflammation and enlargement of soft tissue and muscles.

At Face Restoration, you can expect to see two ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeons who will consult you throughout your time under our care. Having two consultants means an in-built second opinion when diagnosing and planning treatments, as well as increased capacity during your post-operative care.

What can Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) surgery help with?

Endonasal DCR & External DCR Surgery can help alleviate the symptoms of wet and watery eyes, and lacrimal sac swelling.

What does Endonasal DCR & External DCR Surgery do?

Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) surgery creates a new pathway for tears to pass through. Most surgeries will create a pathway that allows tears to drain directly into the nasal cavity. Will will talk you through all you treatment options and details as part of your consultation and assessment.

What is the difference between Endonasal DCR & External DCR?

Both treatments have the same goal in creating better tear drainage. In external DCR, a small incision is made just below the tear duct allowing surgeons to directly visualise lacrimal sac abnormalities. The endonasal DCR has the benefit of no visible scarring as surgery is done through the nasal passages.
