WHY FACE RESTORATION?

FEATURES, ADVANTAGES, & BENEFITS FOR OUR PATIENTS

Mole mapping combines the vast medical experience of our two consultants, alongside the latest advancements in technology.

It is essential to keep track of moles – old and new – for evidence of changes that may require further investigation. At FaceRestoration, we handle this task for you in minutes. Using digital technology we can scan and analyse skin at regular intervals to make direct comparisons over time, all from our luxurious clinics in the heart of London.

Who should think about getting their moles mapped?

People who are at a higher risk of developing skin cancer should consider regular mole mapping.

This includes patients with:

  • An abundance of moles.
  • Moles with a distinct appearance (atypical moles).
  • A family history of skin cancer.
  • A history of cancer/s anywhere on the body.
  • Skin that burns quickly in the sun.
  • Previous cases of severe sunburn
  • Working or living overseas, or doing outdoor labour, exposes you to a lot of sunshine.
  • Immune system suppression

What are the benefits of mole mapping?

Early detection of malignant melanoma allows for the most effective therapy. Our skilled consultants will evaluate your skin for signs of malignant melanoma. Same-day screening and surgical excision are available for patients that require immediate treatment. Regular screening also makes unnecessary excision of innocuous moles avoidable.

How should I prepare for mole mapping?

Dry skin might make it challenging to check the skin. If you have particularly dry or flaky skin, we recommend moisturising on a regular basis, particularly for a week or so before your skin check. If you are undergoing mole mapping (whole-body photography), you should wear plain, unpatterned underwear.
