BoNTA Neurotoxin is a very adaptable therapy that may be used in more complex techniques to raise parts of the face, and it can be beneficial as a brow lift alternative. BoNTA may be used to soften or highlight facial emotions and features such as those around the eyes, forehead, nose, and chin.
Dr Rachna Murthy and Dr Jonathan Roos employ a wide range of BoNT treatments and approaches, each of which is distinctive. We also use BoNTA for the medical treatment of individuals with excessive twitching around the eyes, such as blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm, at Face Restoration in Harley Street, London, and Lanserhof at The Arts Club. BoNT can also be used to address facial asymmetry caused by facial nerve palsy.
How does BoNTA Neurotoxin work?
Small targeted injections can minimise the appearance of static wrinkles and assist in reducing the appearance of moderate to severe active lines. The modified botulinum temporarily relaxes the muscles in precise locations, reducing the severity of the lines. This therapy can be effective in as little as 48 hours and can last up to 4 months.
How many treatments will I need?
After just one treatment, you will notice an improvement. As the toxin’s effects wear off, your skin will start to revert to its pre-treatment appearance. We have a lot of patients who come back every three to six months for repeat treatment to continue the effects of treatment.
Can BoNTA be used on all areas of the face?
Not all facial lines and wrinkles can be corrected with BoNTA, and other forms of therapy are occasionally provided in addition to or instead of BoNTA. When used in combination with BoNTA, dermal fillers can be beneficial in smoothing deeper wrinkles and creases.
